NoBrainer for schools

For the deadline nobody meant to miss.

NoBrainer is an iPhone app that puts a student’s Canvas, Google and Apple calendars in one place. With Pro, it watches their deadlines and messages them before one slips. Flynn, who built it, would like to show your team how it works and plan a pilot with you.

Your student meant to get to the essay. Then midterms hit, and the deadline slipped past. That one’s fixable.

The problem NoBrainer exists for

Worth knowing up front: NoBrainer only sees what’s in a student’s calendar feed, which means due dates, not grades or submissions. And it’s iPhone only for now.

What it does for students

One calendar.
One heads-up before it slips.

01.

Free

It knows what’s actually due.

Canvas, Blackbaud, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and a school’s own ICS feed, pulled into one calendar a student can read at a glance.

02.

Pro

A heads-up before things slip.

NoBrainer watches a student’s deadlines and messages them before one sneaks past, plus a short brief of their day every morning.

03.

Free

Nothing to install on your Canvas.

Students connect the calendar feed Canvas already gives them. There’s no Canvas app to approve and no admin token to hand over.

04.

Every plan

Their data stays theirs.

No ads, nothing sold, and nobody’s training AI on it. Friends see busy or free, never event details.

Who it’s for

Built for students.
Booked by the people who help them.

Student success

For the students who are capable and still slipping. See where a heads-up before the deadline fits next to what your team already does.

Academic advising

Advisors tend to hear about a missed deadline after it’s missed. NoBrainer’s whole job is the heads-up before.

First-year programs

New students meet Canvas, a new schedule and a new everything in the same week. NoBrainer puts their deadlines in one place from day one.

Campus IT and LMS teams

There’s no integration to stand up: each student connects their own Canvas calendar feed. Bring your questions about data and privacy.

How a pilot works

Start small.
One term, one group.

  1. 01.

    A 30-minute demo.

Flynn walks you through NoBrainer from a student’s side, and how a campus rollout works. Bring anyone who’d have to say yes.

  2. 02.

    A planning call.

Forty-five minutes to scope a semester pilot: which cohort, course or department, when it starts, and what you’d want to learn.

  3. 03.

Students set up in a minute.

Each student signs in with Apple and connects their Canvas calendar feed. That’s the whole setup.

  4. 04.

How it wraps up is your call.

On the planning call, decide how you’ll judge the pilot, and whether to go over it with Flynn at the end of term.

Campus demo

30 min

A walkthrough of NoBrainer from a student’s side, and how a campus rollout works.

Start here if NoBrainer is new to your team.

Pilot planning

45 min

Scope a semester pilot with one cohort, course or department.

For teams ready to scope a semester pilot.

Stuff schools ask.

Do we have to install anything on Canvas?

No. NoBrainer reads the calendar feed Canvas already gives each student. A student pastes their own feed link once, and that’s the setup. There’s no Canvas app to approve and no admin token to hand over.

What about Blackboard, D2L or Moodle?

NoBrainer reads a school’s calendar (ICS) feed; Canvas and Blackbaud are the ones it names today. If your LMS publishes a calendar feed, bring it to the demo and you’ll get a straight answer on whether it works.

Which phones does it run on?

iPhone, for now. NoBrainer is an iOS app, and Android comes if it takes off. Worth knowing before you pick a pilot group.

Can students download it today?

NoBrainer is launching soon on iOS. Ask about timing on the demo call; it’s the first thing to plan a pilot around.

What happens to student data?

Each student’s account is encrypted and scoped to them. Nothing is sold, there are no ads, and nobody’s training AI on it. The Free plan sends nothing to an AI company at all. The full breakdown is in the privacy policy.

What does it cost?

For a student on their own: Free, or Pro at $6.99 a month after a 14-day free trial, billed through their Apple ID. Anything campus-specific gets worked out with Flynn on a planning call.

How does booking work?

Pick the kind of call, a day and one of Flynn’s free times, then add a little about your campus. You see the whole booking before you send it, and it goes straight to NoBrainer. When the time can be booked straight away, it is, and the details are emailed to you; when it can’t, Flynn confirms a time by email. The pages of this site also offer the same booking as tools for AI assistants that support WebMCP.

Who will I be talking to?

Flynn, who built NoBrainer and is a student himself. No sales team, no handoff.
